First of all, please accept my apologies for the cruel cliff-hanger on my last posting. Creative writing/recreational reading has always been a favorite past-time of mine. I love being so deeply indulged in a really good page-turner and then ending a chapter with an adrenaline rush! Anyway, sorry. I will try to not let it happen again. Continuing on...
How about giving this sheep a name? For the sake of easy following, let's just call him KC...
KC really made great strides to prove the old adage that says, 'The apple never falls far from the tree.' Apparently, he didn't know his birth father all that well. He was bounced around from family member to family member; in and out of jails etc., until one day, he ended up doing some real time in the 'pen.' I truly believe that it was shortly after that event that I met him. Even as I write this, I'm not entirely sure when he was released (he was so full of lies, but early on I had yet to find out exactly how full of it he truly was.) ANYWAY, there was obviously some good (or else I wouldn't have married his a**!) So let me see if I still have it in me to say good stuff about him...
He came off as a very impressive individual. As I previously indicated, he was my knight in shining armor (my rebound stick, for lack of better words.) How about a funny story for ya'? This occurred around the 2nd or 3rd time we had seen each other (still on the VERY casual tip...)
One day, parked out in front of his house was a tractor trailer. It was a beautiful sight. I have always been enamored by those beasts of a machine and this one was no different. It was pure white, virtually brand new, and those chrome rims were glistening like the brightest of star on a clear, cloudless night. To me, it was AWESOME!! That only left the inquiry as to who's beast it was...I asked and was told it was his and that he was a cross-country driver for 'company X.' Imagining this fine M.F.'er behind the wheel of this monster just did things to me! Anyway, I went on to work after chatting him up a little while longer. When I got off and swung by his house, he and the truck were gone. I just figured 'off to work he went.' WELL, yes, off to work it was, but he wasn't the driver - HE WAS A LUMPER (laborer) FOR HIS COUSIN!! That ending was discovered about three good months into our relationship (blinders were invented just for me, by the way.) By that time, I was head over heels in love and it just didn't matter that he lied to me! Go figure! I'm getting ahead of myself again!!!
Remember I stated I had a hefty price to pay? Let me add some detail...
When I broke up with Mr. Boring to be with KC, KC opened his arms wide and protected me from the wrath of the jilted lover. Mr. Boring actually went ballistic!! He never physically harmed me, he just did other damaging things. For example, he stole items from me that clearly weren't his; he broke up stuff that was clearly MINE; he illegally transferred ownership of a vehicle that was, you guessed it, clearly MINE. He just plain old went CRAZY!! Nothing he did couldn't be replaced, so I let him get it all out AND THEN I got my revenge! I simply called the 'man' and had those items he still had in possession repossessed! LOL
Uh-oh...I'm at work at the moment. I gotta run, but I will be back ASAP.
